HSE-focus are giving results
Helifuel AS have high focus on health, safety and environment. This has given us good results, says Belinda Teikari.
Belinda is in supplement to being the companies control function also executing the HMS work.
Helifuel had in 2009 a sickness absence percentage of 2,3 percent. This includes children’s sickness. It is believed to be low and far below the average for Norwegian business conditions. We have very low percentage of long-time absence, few undesirable incidents and we have since 2006 not had any injuries during working hours which have resulted in sickness absence.
We are receiving qualified help from Haugaland HMS in our work maintaining a good and safe environment. Haugaland HMS is mapping the company and assisting in pro-active protective work.
Helifuel is a so-called IA-company. We see this as a quality stamp to be a part of the agreement between Norwegian businesses and the Government. The agreement is focusing on including work environments. This gives us benefits and help to make sure employees in case of sick absence can come back to work sooner says Belinda Teikari.
